SPRING AHEAD to a Sustainable, Abundant & Healthy Future
To benefit Sonrisas Communtiy Dental Center, the HEAL Project,and Coastside Farmer's Market
A fun, educational event to learn more about healthy living with local experts on sustainable gardening and eating. Delicious organic food will be prepared and served by local chef, Joy Portelli from Event Savvy.

The Sonrisas Community Dental Center Board of Directors is proud to announce that after an extensive search they have named Dirk Alvarado as the new Executive Director of the organization.
Dirk comes to Sonrisas with a broad background encompassing over 16 years’ experience in the public, private and nonprofit fields. With a proven track record of building collaborations and providing leadership to numerous organizations we feel he will help Sonrisas to continue to serve our clients while participating in charting new courses.
In this capacity he will oversee the administrative, fundraising and financial aspects of the agency and provide oversight and support to the Dental Director and Education Manager. Additionally Dirk will be responsible for collaborating with community partners and monitoring factors that impact local health services. In partnership with the Board, he will guide the strategic direction of the organization.
One of his immediate duties will include raising funds to match a $50,000 challenge grant we have received. You will be receiving more information about this amazing opportunity soon as it will be the focal point of our upcoming spring campaign.
The board of Sonrisas is very excited about the future and is looking forward to sharing a number of new developments in the upcoming months.
